More than 10,000 people have signed an online petition urging the Army to let an Iraqi puppy come home with a U.S. soldier, who fears that "Ratchet" could be killed if left behind.

- djkrs2....as I said before...it's not so much HOW you vote, it's that you did! The piddly amounts of votes they are seeing today is an indication of apathy. What if they suddenly saw a huge amount of voters going to the polls?

- This article wasn't about the 10 people that decided those kids in Haiti would be better off anywhere besides Haiti. It was about people in the US having collected donations of very needed SUPPLIES that they can't get anyone to deliver to the area.

- I have two daughters that have incurred 10's of thousands of dollars in debt to put themselves through college. They too, had high school honors and scholarships for college that 'helped' pay the tuition.

- I'd like to see the same amount of money be raised to be donated to an AMERICAN animal shelter to save a few cats and dogs over here. Or maybe just send a certified check to a household in this country that lost their HUMAN loved one over in Iraq.

- I don't want to seem heartless here, but does this Iraq GI have any idea how many dogs and cats are euthenized in this country? It sounds to me like all of the money spent on sending someone over there to 'save' that one pup could help 'save' pups and kittens over here.
